Re: My Visit to Buddy Roger's Music

Chris has done great things with Buddy Rogers to make it a DESTINATION for tuba and euphonium in an otherwise under-served part of the USA! Glad you could see how much he could do with such a limited space and resources!

Re: Eastman EBC834…keep an eye out…

The physical dimensions of the 834 are very similar to a MW2155/2000 or Thor, except that the inner branches are closer to the “York” style CC tubas. I’m not sure if that description helps or not. To be clear, the bugle is entirely a Willson “Merlin” that’s just been re-wrapped to take advantage of t ...

Re: Musician's chairs?

I’ve been using the Adjustrite chair in my orchestra (Cincinnati Symphony) for 4 years and also have one in my basement for practice. They come in two sizes and to buy the taller option, I believe you have to purchase it directly from Adjustrite. Worth every penny. The stage crew love mine because i ...

Eastman EBC834…keep an eye out…

I saw the buzz about this tuba in the Midwest clinic thread, but didn’t want to step on it. So I thought I’d start this separate thread. I played two versions of this new model in the factory last October. It’s based on a preexisting bugle that is already great. These are just slightly rewrapped to h ...

CCC.
I suppose the fossil fuels involved with "recycling" the amount of cardboard here would be justified...since I'd feel better about myself. Maybe I could just purchase some carbon off-set credits.

Free Tuba Shipping box in Northern KY/Cincy

Hey folks, I've got an Eastman tuba shipping box that's free for the taking. All you need to do is come get it before I cut it up and burn it. I'm in the Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati area. I'd like to have it gone ASAP and won't keep it more than another week or so before it goes on the burn-pile ...

Professional BBb tuba for rent NYC

Hey folks, I’m trying to help a friend out from Spain. He’s the tubist for Teatro Real Opera House in Madrid. His orchestra will be in NYC for their tour and he needs to find a large rotary Bb tuba for the concerts. He plays a MW197/2 and would like something of this caliber if at all possible. Di ...

Re: New Drill Of The Week #23, “Buzz Kill”

My “webmaster” and “publisher”…wife…has started transposing them for Bb bass/brass band as well. Learning them on euph might unlock some “goodies” on tuba? Just a thought. We’ve gotten so many requests for transposing them for F-tuba that we are looking into this as well. Hope they’re a help to you!
