Believe it or not...

Post by bloke »

There are a few people who actually "tip" me (either cash on the spot, or a bottle of scotch later) after doing some much-appreciated-by-them repair work.

Until I have one of each...
If anyone would like to "tip" me in the future, I could use a Légère #2.5 BASS saxophone reed ("Classic") as well as a Légère #3.0 BASS saxophone reed ("Classic").

That is all, many thanks, and over-and-out.

...oh yeah...If - off in the future - anyone actually decides to do this...SHOP AROUND (eBay, etc.) and please don't overpay.

If it’s tourist season, why can’t we shoot them?

...Individual of these reeds (best pricing) are considerably lower priced than some of the nice bottles of scotch that a few people have purchased for me as gifts.

Just as with the scotch, I probably won't get around to buying these reeds for myself, at least not anytime soon, because I haven't yet restored this wonderful old (Buescher) bass saxophone for myself.

...jammed in the corner (with its wretched original 101-year-old pads) next to the cimbasso...

LOL...

Suggesting that any future gift-tipping be more practical and less costly...

...just prompted me to take this monstrosity out to the shop and freakin' get started on it !!!

There's already a thread devoted to it...
There may-or-may-not be pics popping up there.

Hey...It's "a skinny A-flat tuba with a bunch of holes punched in it, and a mechanical embouchure".
