Yesterday, two customers showed up at approximately the same time from 1100 miles away and 1200 miles away. One of them showed up to pick up three instruments they had purchased, which was easy. Super nice people - both of them.
After chatting and discussing some things, I got to work on the other person's instruments. They basically brought me two complete sets of distressed bows for six/quarter B-flat tubas including the bottom bows, and the upper and lower bows both had thick caps and beads on them. Additionally, there were two upper bows for large four/quarter instruments. I knocked out the two upper four/quarter bows and I got one complete set of six/quarter bows done before I had to leave towards an adjacent city about an hour plus away to pick up my car (which just had its 195K miles

clutch replaced).
The person with all of the bows repair was really nice and dropped me off to get my car, since they were heading the same way towards home. I also did a little bit of work on a saxophone for that same person, and Mrs bloke worked on that saxophone as well. Once I retrieved my car, I drove roughly two hours straight south from there for 7:00 p.m. rehearsal at which I'm at now, and which ends at 10:00 p.m.
I'll be home by midnight, well need to get up at 7:00 a.m. or so and head back over here for a 10:00 a.m. rehearsal and a 7:00 p.m. concert. This place is about an hour and 40 minutes from my home. On Sunday, I plan to sleep all day, because I've been sick. Really soon, I'm going to work on that second set of six/quarter size bows which were left here for me to work on when I have a chance.
Right now I'm feeling a little woozy. Coffee isn't doing it.
