In the US the Common abbreviations are a.P for assistant professor, A.P for associate, and P for full.

The abbreviation for “assistant” in British English comes up as “asst.” in search engines like Google.
These two goofballs are just joking and mean no harm. However, you’re looking rather fragile and bitchy by not recognizing this fact. If you stomp away, it’s on you, not them.
This isn’t the airport. You needn’t announce your departure, but I’m sure you’re welcome to stay. Just skip this flight and head back to the bar, aka, “pub.”

Please continue to post. In the USA, just add a "t" to the end: Asst.

Whilst I don’t know all the details I suggest that you continue to post what you think is reasonable. The folk here are pretty friendly and sometimes we (as individuals) just need to roll with things.

I remember a book, might have been "Blackboard Jungle" but it's been a long time, where there was a reviled administrative assistant who abbreviated his title "Adm. Asst" and was generally referred to as "Admiral Ass".............

Is “the down staircase“ a euphemism for something I should know about?
