Rome, GA TubaChristmas Dec. 14th

The 2nd annual Rome, GA TubaChristmas will be this coming Saturday the 14th at the Courtyard by Marriott, 320 West 3rd St, Rome, GA. Registration will start at 10am, rehearsal at 11. Performance will be outdoors on the terrace starting at 1pm. The conductor will be Jason Casanova of Kennesaw State University, artist-in-residence on euphonium and tuba. More information can be found on the TubaChristmas web site. Rome is about mid way between Atlanta and Chattanooga.

Last year's inaugural Rome TubaChristmas was quite successful. We had a walk-in standing audience of 125-150. A lot of the audience heard us across the river in the downtown shopping district and walked over the footbridge to listen. Many thanks to Dr. David Smith (a retired virology researcher who took up the tuba a little over a decade ago) for spearheading TubaChristmas in Rome.
