Fine Piston F Tuba $ 2600 SOLD

Post by hubert »

FS: 6/4 Piston F-tuba, copied from B&S MRP F-tuba. Produced by Siermanmusic Beijing (see website Siermanmusic.com) under the name Sierman Mars F-tuba. [There is more info about Sierman tubas on this forum]. The tuba offered here was bought 2 years ago from Musikhaus Erwin Schmid at Neubrunn (Germany) and bears the dealer-logo of Erwin Schmid (not Sierman). It is a well made copy of the B&S MRP with an attractive sound, powerful low register, good intonation, well constructed with very good valves.
I only had the thumb-ring replaced by a slightly larger one. Besides that a cryogenic treatment was done by CryoService Georg Selders in Weeze (Germany). Tuba comes with a sturdy gigbag from FMB Gütersloh (Germany) in newstate.
The condition of the instrument is very good, only little traces of use, hardly noticeable, no repairs.

Some specs: lacquered brass, diameter bell 420 mm, height 980 mm, bore size 19.0-21.0 mm, 4 front action perinet steel valves, 1 rotary valve (right hand, big whole step).

Asking price: 2600 USD (or your fair offer). Cost of shipment from The Netherlands USD 175.
Reason of sale: thinning the herd because of (my :smilie8: ) age.

With regards from The Netherlands,
Hubert
