Tuba Stand
Who has a used tuba stand for sale?
The ability to set the cradle down to 13 inches is a plus.
Please PM me with info about your tuba rest.
Thanks very much!

Re: Tuba Stand
My K&M is collecting dust, but I seems to only drop down (bottom of the tuba in the cradle) to about 17 inches.
You would need to cut the female and male pipes and reinstall the fittings.
The female black fitting on the frame's female pipe seems (??) fairly secure, so...

Re: Tuba Stand
The Konig & Meyer 14952 Tuba Performer Stand adjusts from 11.42 to 16.54" in height. It’s marketed for kids, but it works well sometimes for really tall tubas, etc.

Re: Tuba Stand
PM me please, I have a Hercules gathering dust, I measure the cradle at 13 3/4" from the floor, actual results may vary. Thank you.

(I think this is a slightly different model but very similar).

Re: Tuba Stand
Clarification requested, more for my piece of mind.
When i hear tuba stand, i think i can put the tuba in the stand and walk away, and it will stay there, whereas a tuba rest i can put the tuba on it, and it will hold the weight up, but i am responsible for maintaining its balance and orientation and such.
Am i using the terms correctly?
Just 'cause the response with a picture i would describe as a rest...
Anyway, carry on.

I wasn't a music major nor a professional tuba player but your distinction and definitions make sense to me. However, K&M, DEG and Hercules all label fixtures for use while playing, requiring the player to maintain balance, as "stands."humBell wrote: ↑Sun Mar 16, 2025 3:23 pm Clarification requested, more for my piece of mind.
