Hirsbrunner euphonium 378

Post by RonnaJD »

1981 Hirsbrunner euphonium, serial number 081378. I am the second owner and bought it in Houston around 1990 where I was attending the University of Houston. From what I recall, it has a deep sound but it has not been played in quite some time. I have oiled the valves, greased the slides, and shined it up, although I am sure it would need a deep clean to perform at its best. It has a few small dents and one scratch (pictured). Not bad for a 40+ year old horn. It comes with the hard case. I had to resize the photos to upload them, feel free to ask for more photos. Asking $5,200.

I am in Reno, Nevada. Anyone even remotely close is welcome to come try it out or I would drive a bit to meet someone. Since I'm a new member and maybe not be able to receive messages, my email is ronnajd@yahoo.com

Thanks, everyone. While I don't play anymore, I've never lost my love and apopreciation for low brass (and those who play them).

Bump for an excellent euphonium.

I had the opportunity to hear this instrument played extensively by both of its owners for several years, and to play on it a little. To my taste, it has an excellent clear sound, and plays very well. If I could see any future opportunity to play euph, I would be buying, rather than bumping.... :tuba:
