Happy Tuba Tuesday. Today, the Museum features a York, E flat tuba, 3 pistons, c.1916.

Serial #: 47386

Bell Diameter 15 1/8″, Bore: .590″, Height: 28.0″.

Comments:

“U.S.Q.M.C.” on rim of bell. “Made By / J.W. YORK & SONS / Grand Rapids / Mich.” on bell. Ornate floral engraving around identification marks. Hi/Lo pitch patented loop present.

Nice choice of instrument, Mark. Thank you for taking the time to post these every Monday night/Tuesday.

That one was a high/low pitch I believe. The (only) low pitch were about 32” tall.
