NY Band Inst. Co. / "Toneking"
Wonder if tossing in the mouthpiece will incur any dents...

Think the green paint is original or a restoration?
(asking for a friend)

Actually really for a friend -- is there an upright 3 valve Eb out there, an older model, that is quite good with intonation? As opposed to some of them where the octave down to the pedal is a 9th, or whose intonation is "stretched" with the top sharp and the bottom flat.

The York "Medium" (15" bell) Ebs do pretty well in that regard. They are pretty small and sound like a euphonium on steroids, but play pretty well. High/low pitch ones were 28" long. Low pitch only models were about 32" long.
