Gorgeous B flat tuba-Authentic vintage German Miraphone 186-the industry standard 4/4 full size tuba in incredible condition. Just look at the etching and details on the valve caps and rotor assembly. It is likely that this has a factory replacement bell with a modern 17.75” diameter. This has the beautiful vintage S – arm linkages-no longer found on current production tubas. They work smoothly and quietly. It has a few minor dents and scratches, but nothing significant and no other issues. I reached out to the Miraphone factory and sent some photos. They said “ The tuba was definitely built before 1985, maybe in the late 1970s”

In anticipation of selling this tuba, I took it in for a complete disassembly with comprehensive ultrasonic cleaning, lubrication and adjustments. It has new rotor bumpers and a new valve cork. It plays great, and the slides and rotors work smoothly and quietly. This tuba is clean as a whistle and ready to play.
