Those old Reynolds Contempora BBb tubas have to be amongst the tallest production tubas ever made

Amongst, sure.

But got a sneaking suspicion pit kings are a mite taller? And there are some Kaiser style tubas which are probably right up there with it. Are there any other pistoned tubas this tall though?

But i'm trying to think... If these are fitted with recording bell, will they have a similar stove-pipe style section to them?

(and regarding the slide pulling, i suppose i'd figure it out if i had one in front me on a regular basis. It is sadly somewhere round 70% willful ignorance on my part, and really i should just grow up, and get over it, rather than play some notes perpetually out of tune...)

Thanks.

(I wanna say i was staring at a random recording bell recently before making the mental connection that it was a reynolds, and so i am expecting it has a long elegant curve, rather than the separate segment.)
