Wednesday night I took this 1952 Conn 34j to a community band rehearsal. That thing was a lot of fun! Loads of dark, dark sound (must be the dark patina on the bell.
Big and heavy to be sure but it definitely was fun.
It was made before short action valves became a thing but my fingers somehow managed.
