FS: Mouhtpiece Clearance
My mouthpiece shelf has gotten a little too full for my liking so it's time to thin out the herd. Here's a mix of tuba, bass trombone, and euphonium mouthpieces. Happy to meet within the DMV area as well. I will be at the Army Conference too if you want to save shipping. Located in Frederick, MD Add...

Re: .835 rotor section?
If you need a paddle assembly C. Bosc has some great ones available that HAAG uses on their cimbasso. You can get the adjustable or traditional set.

Have you had a chance to sit in a orchestra with each? If you did how did you feel like the blend with the section/over all orchestra feel and sound? Not all of them unfortunately. Although, I have used a Baer and an 836S in orchestra. Both did well, especially the Baer. They definitely have the pr...

Just to be clear, are all the vendors tax-free? No, some of us do have to charge sales tax, but I just build it into my pricing. Other's choose to eat the cost, or don't have to charge anything since they don't do enough business across the Virginia border. Not my call to charge tax, but Virginia a...

I have had the opportunity to play my Rudy next to a Yama-york, an Eastman EBC836S, MW Baer 6450/2, and a new Adams 6/4 CC. The only ones that came close to me were the Baer and the Adams. It's a unique sound amongst the York clones, but has a color, presence, and projection that most except the MW ...

Then you guys linked videos on a day when I'm bored at work (which, truth to tell, does not happen very often). My mistake. And the price I have paid for that mistake is that I've probably missed many opportunities to see them in person. They'll be in Frederick, MD at the Weinberg in February if th...

I was under the impression Donna retired a couple years ago and just closed down the business. Did somebody buy it?... Altieri was purchased by JL Smith, a repair materials supplier. They haven't mentioned anything about tuba bags in a while and don't list them on their site https://www.jlsmithco.c...

If I'm not mistaken Hirsbrunner, Gronitz, and Willson were all using Bauerfeind for a while until Adams bought Bauerfeind out.

You should use Shippo... which is basically just a company that exists as a marketplace for buying shipping labels. They handle such a massive number of labels, they get really good commercial rates from FedEx, UPS, US Mail, DHL, etc... For individuals, I think you can buy 3 labels for free, and th...

Re: Not today
Anyone ever have someone offer to send a label? My loss I guess. I want to know what carrier they use that can ship a tuba box for $50🤣🤣 I usually offer to send labels through work. Since we ship so much these days we insure everything for replacement cost through at outside agency not UPS. Plus it...

Re: FS: Conn 2J CC Tuba $900 OBO
I had several questions regarding the valve wear so I added photos to the drive link. The condition of the valves is the main reason this horn is priced cheaply.
The worst of the wear is on 1 and 4, but the horn still has good compression and action with the right oil as previously mentioned.

THIS HORN HAS SOLD I saved this one from our parts graveyard from work. I put some time into it to pretty it up a little and get the gnarly dents out. I though about turning this into a little five valve pit monster, but decided to finally join the Eb club. I have a soft spot for these little Conns...

Re: Kanstul?
Speaking of the G bugles, that's the one Kanstul line that BAC has recently restarted production of. It's been very streamlined (4 models instead of 10) and the prices are almost twice as high as Kanstul was selling them for, but they exist and the USMC drum and bugle corps replaced their Kanstuls ...
