Nice. I would like to find out about the gig bag Yamaha makes for these. Mine did not come with a case or bag. I have both now, but a bag sized specifically for one of these would be nice to have… if it is a really good design…

The 834 appears to have a smaller bottom bow than their 4/4 models, even if the valveset bore is larger and the bugle a slightly more open wrap. And it's no larger than the Yamaha 623 CC or BBb tubas, or the B&S 795 CC, which is a 4/4 Nirschl CC copy. Those are all 4/4 tubas..... :coffee:

Does anyone happen to have these two braces laying around? Someone put a Conn sousa brace in place of the bottom bow to MTS receiver. I believe I can save the MTS brace, but a backup would be nice.

I actually won this auction and picked it up from a band director friend in the area. It's a little rougher than the pictures let on, but really not too bad. I'm not sure that it will stay with me long term, but it will be much nicer by the time it's headed back out.

I'm pretty positive an older alumnus of my alma mater had a 696 in CC. It played well, but the intonation was wild. A previous owner added huge, whacky second valve lever that stuck out too far to the left. It was somewhat manageable but took work to play really in tune. He liked it and sounded good ...
