Re: Geib mouthpiece on a Martin Eb?

@bort2.0
It occurs to me that since you are currently in Eb land, Yamaha 321 Eb tubas are both outstanding and pretty inexpensive.

I'm the proud owner of a 6 year old 5 Valve GR55 factory build by B&S , retail in Europe about € 12.000,- /€ 12.500,- at the moment.

Eastman 825V € 7.785,- (€ 8.679,- RRP)
Could you possibly post a picture of that? I'm sure a lot of folks would be interested in seeing it.

for the smaller one:
sellboysberger
sellmanslider
soldmansberger

maybe just "slider" as that's a small burger? And somewhat ironically, it's for a trombone without a slide?

Re: cataracts

bloke You might consider getting some drug store readers. I have reading glasses for up close. I'm not so sure that was a good decision. I think I could have gotten by with a set of readers. They would have been much cheaper. My brother-in-law had cataracts in his 50s. He had worn thick glasses his...

Re: 4th valve slide falling in

@cjk That sounds like a helpful suggestion. I'm not one who ever grabs my #4 slide - at least not if I can help it, but there are some players who move that slide a lot. I don't know if he still does, but Gene P. used to move that slide a whole bunch on his big C. The HB-1P is a 4 valve HB CC, so I...

Re: Schiller 4-Valve Mini F Tuba

look up the specs on that thing if you can find it. iirc, the bore is smaller than the exterior end of an American tuba shank. I had and sold one of the original Bubbie tubas. They looked exactly like that Schiller thing. You could play them as a practice instrument. Otherwise, I did not consider it...

Re: 4th valve slide falling in

The 4th valve slide on my HB-1P keeps slowly falling in when I play. I’ve tried very heavy grease to hopefully remedy the problem but it still persists. There doesn’t seem to be an air leak and the valves are vented so I’m not sure what the problem is. If you have any ideas on how to remedy this i’...

The quietest and most problem-free links in the industry are the Dubro links with the little adjustment screw built into them, but again, most people view those as cheap and crappy, and not offering a professional appearance. https://www.dubro.com/collections/ball-links/products/e-z-adjust-ball-lin...

It's cool that it came with a free kitty cat! I have always thought it odd that the zipper pouch is on the same side as the backpack straps. It didn't used to be that way before the snap on music pouch. I might be mis-remembering. It seems to me that the zipper pouch and music folder would be more u...
