Re: Looking for a Pair of Very Specific Finger Buttons
Found these in one of my "random tuba junk" boxes from an earlier 2145. Close(ish) but no cigar... ~27 mm x ~7 mm

Re: Yamaha YBB-321 approximate value
"Pleasure"/personal use part is important. Flipping is another thing, and I think OP will be less pleased if that's the goal.

Re: Using an F tuba for everything
I recall - YEARS ago (was it in the 1990's...??) when the every-two-years big-friggin'-tuba-shindig was at U of Ky... I don't believe the Hirsbrunner's had a both, but son and father were there, and they pulled out (either in a hallway or outdoors) an VERY small F tuba with a VERY small bore size ...

Re: brass instrument finish aesthetics
If you have the space/willingness to do so, a 55 gal poly drum is way easier to navigate than a bath tub imo. One of the Brute trash cans (20/33/44 gal iirc) might be big enough as well.

Re: Roger Bobo live...JUST uploaded by Dave Werden !
I don't know what was originally posted, but Dave's channel still has Barat, Carnival and some other stuff by Roger Bobo. I vaguely remember one of the videos being taken down and replaced with a longer version (maybe?).

Re: Random York Eb question
Great info, thanks. Again, I'm 95% sure I had one of the Eb 18" bells at some point. I remember the buyer getting a bit upset with me (rightfully so) for taking so long to ship it out. I got it just as a bell, never saw the donor. Not sure I ever saw a tall medium before yours (handsome horn btw ...

Re: brass instrument finish aesthetics
The "vintage" look hides imperfections better (or maybe it just lowers expectations).
If it's in great shape, I vote "frustration with keeping it clean."

Re: Random York Eb question
I think I had an 18" monster bell float through here at some point...
I vaguely some with the bells like that, but most were really close to the top bow. Does "low-pitched bell" have something to do with that?

Random York Eb question
(I think this is the right place to post this?)
Did York ever make a front-action version of their little Eb? I like the cute little HN White/Conn things, but I don't think I've ever seen a York version.

Re: My monster Eb build.
Very cool build.
Forgive if I missed it, but you mentioned the valve section came from another frankenhorn of yours. What did it come from originally?
