I find it easier to dip mouthpieces into a jar of Goddard's Silver Dip.

This is the C tuba that pops up often, usually as a Gerhard Schneider. I bought one... today!

Just a note: I have the Kanstul-made YEP-321 euphonium plug-in 5th valve that Horn Guys used to sell. It's great.
