Re: French C Tuba VS Euphonium
I would guess every French tuba is different of course, but the ones I've heard are a brighter sound than Euphs.

Re: High-end 3/4 Tuba?
It Is worth to be taken into consideration the Joseph Lidl LCB 702. It Is called a "student" model but it's a fine tuba. I had chance to play test some of them at the Lidl factory in Brno years ago, and I was impressed by the accuracy of making and the top quality valves. Less than 7 kilos of ...

Lots of great info guys--I really appreciate it.
I'm hundreds of miles away from a proper shop, so it really helps.

Re: High-end 3/4 Tuba?

High-end 3/4 Tuba?
Looking for suggestions for a high-quality 3/4 (or even slightly smaller) tuba. Not looking for a student model. All the valves for the same hand. At the risk of being heretical, not fussed as to whether it's BB or CC. Small group jop/pazz, nothing bigger than a beer tent. No need (this time) to lay ...

Re: High Bridge Brass
Eb Tenor is lots of fun. Highly recommended if you want to take something to a sing-along but you want to leave tuba/euph at home. (Of course there are many excellent, serious players.) I'm surprised they don't start more children on this instrument. Good sizing and a way to develop technique no ...
