The New York Times ran this today. Constance Weldon, Pioneering Virtuoso of the Tuba, Dies at 88. When she joined the Boston Pops in 1955, she was believed to be the first woman to play tuba in a major American orchestra. And I'm playing on whatever mouthpiece it came with (anyone have a clue what it is or what model it is supposed to be like?). .... It is based off of a Wick 4AL.
