Practice Mute Soundcheck

Hello everyone,
here is my practice mute soundcheck video for F-tuba.
I played with Voigt Brass and Schlipfinger mutes, a total of three.
What do you think? Which one fits best?

Bilder einer Ausstellung (Pictures at an Exhibition) Bydlo on Tuba & French C-Tuba - A comparison

Hello everyone, Here is my comparison of the Bydlo solo from ‘Pictures at an Exhibition’. Played on my Eastman EBF 866 F tuba and the Wessex French C-Tuba TC236 P. With its unmistakable sound, this extraordinary tuba in C can often be heard in pieces such as Ravel's ‘Pictures at an Exhibition’, Fra ...

 :tuba:  ' not many for this combo... TRAVEL TUBA- Soundcheck - Melton and Wessex with 3 different mutes

Here is my completely unbiased test of two travel tubas: the Wessex Bubbie and the Melton Trolley, two very different instruments. The Wessex is slightly slimmer, while the Melton almost feels like a full-sized F tuba. Both come in a slim case and with a mute. The Wessex comes with the Mike McLean ...

NEW Eastman EBF 863 Piston F-Tuba Soundcheck

The new Eastman EBF 863 Piston F-Tuba in a short Soundcheck at the Eastman Tuba Euphonium Academy at Oklahoma State University in 2024. In my opinion a wonderful new F tuba. It can be played well in all registers. It has the lightness of a piston tuba but the sound of a rotary valve tuba. The ...

Re: Josef Lidl - two new F-Tuba models

Thank-you for the A-B play-testing of the new Lidl F in M and L configurations. As I understand it, this is mainly a difference in two different leadpipes? I liked the M (smaller leadpipe) version as my personal favorite. Each of the Lidl models, in each key, have their own "flavor" or unique ...

Re: Josef Lidl - two new F-Tuba models

Nice and relevant selection of testing literature. In my opinion You demonstrated that these are definitely no cheap pieces of junk. (And at over 8000 € they better not be, either) To MY ear the larger horn worked better both on the Faust excerpt as well as the Bierzelt-Funk  So what´s YOUR ...
