Yes, that's what I was referring to. It looks like the modern Conn 20Ks have a higher bell relative to the player's head.

I currently own a 1950s Conn Sousaphone. I think the height of the bell from the top of the bow is shorter than the modern ones.

Would anybody here know if that's true?

Is there a significance among higher or lower numbers. I'm considering getting a Conn Sousa and would like to know more before ...
