Re: Temporarily switching from BBb to Eb
Just don’t do it man. You’re gonna start ranting to your loved ones about how stupid it is no one started you on Eb back in your school days. You’re gonna wonder why the easiest to play, most versatile tubas aren’t standard fare stateside. It could leave you in a dark place when you come home, and th ...

I watched all the GOP debates as a 7th grader in 2012, and Ron Paul is still my hero. Hope this helps.

Re: Wessex Linz
Have you had some good quintet experience(or maybe recordings?) with this horn? I'm curious if it's got the guts for that sort of setting. I do like smaller bells on bass tubas!

Re: Eastman Eb tuba for sale
I have one. It does everything, and with stellar intonation. I've considered selling mine, but only because I'm mostly doing large ensemble work these days. GREAT instruments which punch well above their weight in bands, but they're perfect for quintet and solo work. If I can ever justify adding a ...

A new little Eb with a low lead pipe? I'd love more on that!

Re: DCI Cadets in town
Theatrics have taken presidence over everything, at least from what ive seen in u toob videos of the last decade. Theyre cool, but im there for the horns and drums! Not broadway.... Thats just my opinion........ Sent from my SM-J327VPP using Tapatalk As someone who LOVES theatre, I completely agree ...

Re: tuba chair (SIMPLE design)
I confess I find it amusing that a someone might think it dorky and cumbersome to bring a tuba stand but are okay with bringing a special chair, or even a chair seat. I’m hoping Baltimore Brass will bring back their stand—they are trying to but there’s one part they need to find someone to make as I ...

That is exquisitely tempting to me. How much slide pulling do you tend to need with this horn?

The website doesn’t specify, so my assumption is yes. Maybe swapping a leadpipe could be a worthwhile experiment…

Re: weird history with the Organ Symphony
I’m curious if you’ve handled the ZO manufactured F Mack brass sells modeled after those horns, and if you think they’re any good. Genuine Symphonie horns being, well, not the easiest to come by.

Re: weird history with the Organ Symphony
I am so intrigued by the sound you get on that F…My only tuba is a compensating Eb with a 17” bell, and I love that it has some guts. In my mind, F horns tend to sound more…hollow?bland? But you don’t, and I’m curious why that is. Is it really the case that by going too broad and large for a given le ...

I think my bass bone already has enough valves. Maybe one more than enough, even.
Leave it to you to do something this weird AND cool though.

Well, well, well, guess who's buying a tuba stand as soon as possible regardless of the current lack of a BAT in the stable.

Re: FS: Besson New Standard compensating Eb tuba - 15" bell
I would definitely be interested in this horn, but video of the valves would be nice, and I live in Michigan, so obviously it can't be unless you were to reevaluate the shipping policy on this. I'm also curious if you know how much this horn weighs?
