Re: What did you play today?

Well that makes my day. I’ll let Vince know that it’s going to good use. Someday I’ll tell you the story of how we got autograph copies and my Roger Bobo “first sushi” experience. Glad you are enjoying.

info:

Cornucopia and plethora both denote a large amount, but with different connotations. A cornucopia implies a bountiful, diverse, and positive supply (like a feast or variety of options). A plethora signifies a large or excessive amount, which can sometimes imply a negative, overwhelming ...

Ha! I caught that on Tubenet but obviously missed it here. Too funny to edit so I’ll keep it in. Denis was a very strict teacher.

Thanks! The valves on this horn are not an issue. The owner had Kevin Powers work on them some years ago and he had not had any issues since.

Re: CC TUBA HBS 290 Hirsbrunner

Does anyone know what this tuba ended up selling for? I am helping a friend sell his but cannot find many examples of the HBS 290 to base a starting price on? I sent a PM but I don’t if the seller will ever see it. Any assistance appreciated.

Thanks,

MG

Wessex Helicon for trade

I have a Wessex BBb 4 valve Helicon that I would like to trade for a smaller BBb rotary valve tuba, preferably a Cerveny Piggy or the like. If anyone is interested, please PM for further discussion.

Silly question maybe, especially for as long as I’ve been playing tuba, does the Conn Helleberg 120S tuba mouthpiece have an American shank?
