Re: Sourcing B&S / Besson parts

Tim Ornato was helpful for a warranty claim for Besson parts for my student this year. When I needed parts for a B&S, after radio silence, I contacted Bob Tucci directly. After a few weeks I had the parts, plus some encouragement communication will improve, there were some retirements happening in ...

Re: Not today

IC, I might have taken the offer, but I read of scams where someone sends a shipping label, then redirects the shipment claiming they never received it. Then they make a claim with PayPal and you're out the item and the money. Being so quick to dismiss me made me more suspicious. The only other used ...

Eastman rotor F SOLD

Lacquer rotor F, almost two years old. Original owner. Minor surface scratches. If there's a ding I can't find it. Leadpipe angled up slightly by Matt Walters for comfort. I still have the thumb ring if you want to reinstall it. Comes with the Eastman MTS-like case and Shires 9 mouthpiece. Located ...

Re: For anyone who thinks a 6/4 doesn't work well in a quintet

Don’t think that’s a 6/4, Kyle used a Conn 54J those years as NY Phil acting Principal. Back then Conn made the 52J and 56J, and Kyle wanted a bell size in between. Definitely in the 4/4 size ballpark, think Eastman 632, since the same man was involved in design of both models. I don’t remember all t ...

Re: drill of the millennium

If you're into challenging your Bb reading/valve mashing I can truly recomend Verne Reynolds' 48 Studies for French Horn. I just play them in C, but I don't think it really makes a difference which key you play them in. They can be real head bangers. I have Cherry Beauregard's old crappy manuscript ...

Re: Lansinoh for slide grease

Anyone know if lanolin adversely reacts with lamp oil? For a brief while, after having a horn professionally cleaned, I used lanolin while using lamp oil for valve oil and daily squirts down the lead pipe before practice. One day a few months later looking down the lead pipe I noticed build-up, not ...

It’s fine to get started, but albums tracks play in shuffle order until you pay. Other services offer a lossless stream, Spotify tops out at 320mbs mp3 files even in the paid tiers
