Method Book Recommendations

I am looking for an Eb tuba method book for my 8 yo son. After seeing me play tuba all his life he wants to start playing. I have a 3v Besson "New Standard" that he'll start with. I'm looking for a beginner book to get him reading tuba music. I know of the band method books like Essential Elements ...

Travel Tuba

I am in search of a travel tuba in E flat, like the ones sold by Mack Brass or Jim Laabs. My budget at the moment is $600-$700. PM if you’re looking to get rid of one.

Thanks!

Eastman Top Valve Caps

I'm looking for a set of the flat valve caps for my 853. I recently got some nice valve buttons from Martin Wilk and they occasionally will make contact with the yamaha-style buttons I have now. I've seen the flat valve caps on other 853s. I've reached out to Eastman and still waiting to hear back ...

Miraphone "Petrushka" Gig Bag

I think I might be pulling the trigger on a Miraphone "Petrushka" gig bag in the next couple days for my Eastman 853. Does anyone have experience with this bag and the Petrushka tuba? Does it fit real snug? This bag was designed for the instrument. My 853 is 15 mm taller than the Petrushka and has a ...

Gig Bag for Eastman 853

I'm looking for a gig bag for my Eastman 853. My price range is around $350. Can't afford a Cronkhite bag. - I've read that the Mirophone EEb/F bag will fit a Besson 983, which the Eastman 853 is loosely based on. - There's a Gard bag for a smaller tuba but sites say it's for bells up to 16". My 853 ...

Gard Gig Bag

I am looking for the older style small Gard bag that loaded from the side. I used to have one that fit my 822 F like a glove. I sold both about 13 years ago. I now have a very similar-sized horn and would like to find one of those bags again. I have a maroon Reunion Blues for a 186-sized horn I can ...
