There's a mill attachment?
So with the mill attachment it's not just a lathe, it's a mill, as well?

Re: Old Conn 15J that needs valve pistons. Help!
Prediction: 45 well informed people will now weigh in on the subtle differences between 12J and 15J valve clusters. 15 votes for "12J valves in a 15J would obviously never work." 15 votes for "15J and 12J valves are exactly the same." 15 votes for "12J valves in a 15J would be a step up/down ...

Re: Old Conn 15J that needs valve pistons. Help!
If the 15J's valve cluster is the same as the 12J's--which I heard somewhere was the previous version, replaced by the 15J--I may be able to help you out. I'm attempting to have a working 12J pieced together from two junker 12J's. Yeah, I know. :) I will wind up with an extra valve cluster. All ...

Re: Painful memory from my youth
I have (apparently) a different take on why the professor asked candidates to play trombone music, when he certainly had tuba sheet music right at hand. He was applying a filter, all right. But he wasn't filtering out the candidates who couldn't transpose. He was looking for the candidates who could ...

Re: Case for a Conn 12J
I just bought a Conn 12J.
I was able to fit it into a ProTec PL251 gig bag.
I was surprised that it fit, but it did. Pretty much exactly.
Nice case. Light, with good protection.
Dillon Music had it for $180 with free shipping.
I hope this helps.
