This sounds like DCI's Soundsport venue.

If you could bring it to NYC TubaXmas I'd be into it for $50 just for a cool room decoration...

The order form for organizers lists: Treble Clef - 6 x 8 Tuba in Eb & Bb - 2 Lower parts (The treble clef tuba book is for European, Salvation Army, British Brass Band players, enlarged not available). (Unique music- call before ordering) I should have just ordered a couple of copies, but anyone ...

Re: TubaChristmas TC Book

You can apparently now buy these direct from the TC mothership's online(!) store. https://tubachristmas.myshopify.com/products/music-for-a-merry-tubachristmas Where are you at? A local organizer might have them on-hand and be able to save you on shipping. I have (new) copies of all of the BC/TC ...

Re: On false tones

OK, dumb question time - I've never really understood what "false tones" are, and googling hasn't turned up any answers. In my 40 years (yikes!) of playing, I've never really had 'lessons' per-se other than middle-school "learn how to play" - and never from a tuba-centric teacher, so I've never ...

Those are new horns that Mack imports. I can't say if they're built to their own specification or just selected from the available models that the factory produces or what. Mack is a pretty lean operation - they import, sell, and ship out to buyers. I've had their 210 model for about 2 years now and ...

I've seen demos of - but have zero experience with, silver electro-plating where you kind of 'paint' on the plating (using a silver-bearing solution and the appropriate conductive tools + power supply). Curious if that would work on something like this or not?

Maryland to NYC TubaChristmas Bus

For the 50th NYC TubaChristmas this year, we figured there might be enough interested to put a bus trip together to make the trip easier for folks from this area. Details are up at https://xmas.tubas.net/nycbus For the tl;dr - this is a day-trip leaving from Westminster MD, stopping in White Marsh ...
