Many will recognize this chart, and a few might accuse me of "stealing" it.
I didn't scan this, though I did edit it.
What I downloaded (and heavily edited) is a download (by someone else) of a scan (by yet another someone else).

I'm not really "into" accepting mail orders for parts.
This chart is primarily designed to help out band directors (who may have multiple makes of sousaphones) to check to see that each of their sousaphones (prior to band camp or whatever) has it's proper upper mouthpipe and related parts.

Yeah, when I was going through my souzy safari some years ago, I may have been one who posted the chart I found on line. Thanks for updating and editing the chart. The old version of the chart had decimal measurements, and I believe this is it. I also recall that due to the angle of the Selmer/Bundy neck, I used a Jupiter neck and bits when I had a 'glass Selmer (the one that looks an awful lot like a Conn 36K).

I broomed the mating dimensions, because I don’t see them as being of much use to most band directors and laymen.
I stuck my company name on there - if anyone wants to call and ask for any help.

When sousaphones arrive at a schools dock from a vendor or warehouse brand-new (or back from a good repair shop - assuming the repair shop was supplied with an instrument’s correct upper mouthpipe and tuning bits), there really is no need for a player to be holding on to the neck-pipe while playing the instrument.

Putting that hand up there, though, is probably a hard habit to break – along with installing the bell and upper mouthpipe 50° off from where they should be installed.

Indeed. That is why I shopped the dimensions, so I could get a neck that would stay put so I could "ride throttle" on the upper loop of the first valve circuit I have made into a slide for valve combinations tuning.

I am looking for a neck and bits for a King model 1271 Sousaphone silver plated. Does anyone have any leads where i could buy used? or also new ?

Too lazy to look at the moment (though not too distracted to miss this post is a year old, so likely a solved problem, but that thinking only encourages lazitude) but i'm under the impress king necks cross pollinate sousas? And are usually listed somewhere on the ebay?

But i dredged this thread up check in. Someone asked me about Eastman necks? And i got no idea, and i imagine the chart above predates Eastman sousaphones.

Any wisdom i should pass on to the enquirer?

Eastman look (??) a lot like Yamaha, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. (ie. IDK...' sorry)

JP necks are compatible with Conn, yet the JP male connector is longer...which isn't any sort of real issue. The JP bits are reversible, yet one is euro and one is standard.

One is Euro and one is standard? That sounds like a feature! Unless of course they are cleverly designed to not work unless you have one of each.

Last June i took public transit to a parade with 2 sousaphones using king bits, and was sad to realize i had grabbed 3 neckside bits and 1 mouthpieceside.

Naturally the other player got the proper pair, and i had to make due for almost 4 miles with the leaking connection...

That... could have gone better.

They a WTB/Trade out a while ago… but somehow I ended up with extra Holton upper bits without the corresponding lower. If anyone has a lower (the one with the screw) that they want to part with let me know. I have 2 complete sets, 1 for the Eb and one for the BBb Sousa, but I would like an extra…just in case.
