Hi Folks,
Thanks for letting me join the group.
I'm in the UK and Sousaphone's are not as popular as in America . I have a sousaphone that I want to sell as its too heavy for me and I want to get a Fibreglass one.
I have not idea what sort of value it is and I hope that someone could give me a "Ball park" amount that I should be looking for. It has a few working dents!!
On the bell it has the following engraved...CLASS A COMPENSATOR BESSON & C0 "PROTOTYPE". 198 EUSTON ROAD LONDON.
Many thanks in advance for you thoughts.
Kind regards
Peter

My limited experiense, the "compensator" i saw had a most unusual valve set.
Granted, it wasn't a sousa.
Not that i'll have any idea what it is worth. Or what it might sell for, which being heavy and a sousa, could be slow going?
