This is a King 1141 four-valve (3+1) BBb marching tuba. Silverplated, all valves and slides in good shape, comes with lead pipe. Some dings and dents as shown but nothing major. Some silver wear at a contact point. Lots of tubing is removable with removable hex screw braces. I am currently waiting for one missing brace to arrive.
This horn is essentially a reconfigured King 2341 with similar sound and intonation, just configured for marching. The bell is not removable. I think this tuba is around 20 years old.
No case or bag included. Asking $1,000, buyer pays shipping or picks up in or around CT.

Thanks!

Anything is possible, but considering that the first valve is on the bottom, it certainly would not be trivial.
i understand the valve section and branches would need to be reconfigured but what im wondering is how much of this horn is king 2341 and how much is one off parts.
It wouldn’t be easy. I know a few people have done it. The valve machine of the first three valves is identical to a King 2340, but upside down. You’d have to flip it and get a leadpipe. The braces between the bell and the inner bows are also angled a bit differently for marching. The fourth valve would have to be completely reconfigured. A main tuning slide would have to be fitted in somewhere, too.
