Found: Schlipf Tuba Practice Mute Size 0

Post by Furguson11 »

https://www.thomannmusic.com/schlipf_pr ... mute_0.htm

It's probably a long shot, but I'm looking to purchase a Schlipf tuba practice mute size 0 for my Cerveny 683 (Arion) with a 15 inch bell. I think Buddy Rogers is the current distributor in the US, but they are also available from Thomann. Just hoping that someone might have a used one to sell before I pull the pin on a new one.

Thanks.

As a follow-up, Chris Hite at Buddy Rogers did a great job getting the right Schlipf practice mute to me. It turned out that my Cerveny 683 had a 14" bell, so it needed a -1 size.

Now I can practice while my wife is working at home, the mute fits in my bell when I store it in the case and I feel like superman after practicing on it and then pulling it out. It really does force you to use more air support. Easily worth the $300 or so for the price.

Chris has a short demo on youtube if your interested what it sounds like https://youtu.be/0brje0e4J6w
