slick condition, and no (dumb-looking) ring of brass around the bell (the only purpose of which was to make it look less like the Olds O-99, which was parts-interchangeable with these Reynolds TB-10 tubas.

I recently picked up a Bach Mercedes (same thing, yet with barely larger piston diameters - to intentionally discourage people from buying Bach pistons to keep Olds/Reynolds tubas in working order) with a hard case for a low price, but it's "brown".

I was rooting for bort junior... but such sweet deal, it wasn't easy being optimistic of the chances for the second in line...

One of those front valve baritones, a King or Conn, would be a great first horn for the future tuba star. If you get one with 4 valves you might even find a use for it! :tuba:
