FS: Cerveny 686 BBb Tuba

Post by greenbean »

Here is a Cerveny CBB-686 4-valve tuba in great shape. It has a few very minor dings. No scratches or lacquer wear to speak of. Valves are smooth and silent. This is a very nice playing, big-ish 4/4 size BBb tuba. Produces a very large sound and intonation is excellent. Comes in a like-new Protec Platinum bag. I have a tuba-sized box ready and I can ship Greyhound or FedEx or other carrier. At buyer's expense. $2750

Tempted, but I really like the 683 that you sold me. This one has minibal links on it, which you don't see often on a Cerveny.

Someone will be happy to get this horn, it would be a good all around player.

Are the bows and bell throat larger than the 681? I knew the rim diameter of the bell is larger...

Exactly. All-around player. For those people who want to own one tuba. Ha-ha! I just can't wrap my mind around that!... :teeth:

I do believe so. But I am not quite smart enough to take these measurement while I own horns. I always think of it after I sell them. Repeatedly. :wall:

Ok just read it's just some fancy nickel tubing here and there with some accents and just the bigger bell. 17.7'' like the MIraphone counterpart.

Solid! That's in great shape, too!

I had a Cerveny F tuba for a while, which had minibal linkage valves like this they were quick and silent, and really quite nice!

I'm getting there, one tuba for community band, German band and church quintet. Plus one practice mute, one soft case, one hard case, one mouthpiece, one tuba stand and a couple of music stands. Doesn't include the trombone, oval baritone, regular baritone and stuff for those though...
