The accompanying question was
Bat?
Is that a Walter Nirschl 5/4 or (same size/shape/specs) Besson 995 ?

I'm not the best at identifying models of tubas from 2D pictures/videos.
@cjk is, though.

off on a tangent:
I've always played that on C (awkward on F, and NOT amazingly-easy on E-flat)
With my new B-flat, though, I've been revisiting/rethinking the more velocity-oriented passages in this work.
(We, the lazy, seek out the easy.)

That's a Melton /Meinl-Weston 6450.

Thanks!
It didn't sound too BIG to me.
The playing position makes it look 6/4-ish.

I tried four or five searches that seemed like they would find him, but (well...) maybe (and I'm being serious) I should have searched in Portuguese...(??)

yeah...but it LOOKS big...and (having never met him) I didn't know how big the gentleman is.
This thread ain't about me...but there's NO WAY that this li'l thing is EVER going to look big...
...EVEN IF Mary Ann were holding it...
