WTB: York 15" bell Eb tuba

Post by York-aholic »

Hi all, I've got my eye out for a York 15" bell 'medium' Eb tuba. There are two models. The 'short bell' model tuba (high pitch model I believe) was about 28" tall. The 'tall bell' (low pitch) model tuba was about 32" tall.

I'm looking for the tall bell model, which I realize will narrow the field considerably. For instance, there has been a short bell model on eBay for a while. The tall bells are less common.

Please let me know if you have one kicking around in a closet...

I'd certainly be interested if you have the whole tuba, it needn't be just the bell.

Thanks!

I suppose so.

I have one on a tuba I put together years ago that I really enjoy. That bell has some 'issues' which can certainly be resolved but I'd be very interested to find a replacement.

I have one in the rack in my shop that is in pretty good shape. I'd need to find the guts for it. I packed them away a while ago.

Let me know if you are still on the hunt.

I wonder how these would be with a large bore valveset like the Kanstul F tubas.
