Brass Trios
I play my ee flat tuba in a very good brass quintet here in western Canada.Our two trumpet players plan to be away from the group for the forseeable future and i am interested in pursuing brass trios specifically or horn trombone and tuba.A brief look through youTube and some music sellers i have come up with a short list of pieces.This is a genre of music i know nothing about.Is this something worth pursuing?What pieces can you folks recommend?

Back when I was engaged in low brass trios/quartets, I utilized IMSLP archives:

In search type in brass trios. I also just searched for trios and, if appropriate for the group, rearranged various scores to fit. With the brass trios, most have trumpet up top, so a little arranging will be necessary. It's public domain stuff, so, free.
Also ScoreExchange provided some trio scores......a few were free at the time.
Being cheap, I tried to search the free sites first. There are a few if one searches the web.

There are so very many trombone trios.
I’m guessing that your horn player really doesn’t enjoy reading bass clef...

We have a very good horn player that could easily read bass clef so no problem there.I have looked into the avenue that you suggested and we just might go that route.Just a quick trip around various music sellers last night i have come up with at least a dozen pieces written for horn,trombone and tuba.Triangles by John Stevens is a good place to start.

Horn, trombone, and E-flat tuba sounds like a great combination, and could easily play any trombone trios.

Any decent horn player can read C bass clef. And a plethora of other "transpositions." It's part of the repertoire. They can also read tenor clef should the trombone part require it.
