Mick Jagger and the Killer were meeting at Sun related to a biography being produced on Sam Phillips. I recall there being some other known names there, but that was a few years ago. Can you imagine the stories those two could tell?

Side note -- I'm not sure which I enjoy less -- rock & roll documentaries or sports documentaries. Both are as painful as it gets for me. #intheminority #iamwhatiam

I really enjoyed the bio on Jaco Pastorius and the one on the Wrecking Crew. I always liked the show Behind the Music. You got a glimpse into daily band life and some of the backgrounds of the musicians. A lot of musicians and singers had real bona fide classical and jazz chops/training, but rock music was where the money was. Stuff with informational and historical perspective can grab my attention anyway, but when it involves music, I most always give it at least a cursory look.

I'm not too big on the sports bios, with the exception of a handful of legends: Roger Staubach, Terry Bradshaw, Joe Green, Lyle Alzado, Earl Campbell, Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Larry Bird, etc.

I've developed much more respect for and appreciation of rock/pop/blues/jazz musicians after watching docs on them. The old VH1 "Behind the Music" series kicked off this interest. Several docs have shown up on streaming services that are good, as Doc mentions. YT channels and podcasts with interviews have also been great.
