Update of NABBA rulebook for championships

Post by GC »

There is a newly updated version of the Contest Rules on the Championships web page: https://nabba.org/championships/. The changes are under the Band Rules and Regulations section part 5, which governs allowed instrumentation.

At the end are a sheet outlining scoring methodology for bands, and sample score sheets for the solo and ensemble competitions.

There may be other changes than these, but they're the only ones I'm aware of.

I commented similarly on the townhall thread, you can now be paid to compete at NABBA as per this rule change. Many bands apparently overlooked this.

It has happened before.

Are you saying that if it's not specifically forbidden, then it can happen now? Or is there another issue I've missed?
