I always wondered why they didn't make this model a 5 valve. There are a lot more models on the willson euro site but they don't appear on the US site. I am not sure they even sell the 3100 here anymore.

Just looking at the pictures, so thoroughly different from the 3400FA that it was an odd choice to give it the same model or series number. The absence of a 5th valve may reflect a concept that this more slender Eb is more of a dedicated bass tuba whose business is not particularly in the contrabass range, but that's just a guess.

it does look far skinnier than the piston model. I'd love to play it. i'll be in NYC in a couple months, but I wont have trasnportation (or a great deal of time) to get down there
