Hmmm. I tried to sell mine, I think in better condition, last year for a lot less and it didn't move. It didn't have the nifty case, but did have a second upright Yamaha bell.

That surprises me. Maybe detachable bells scare people off? I know there's not much interest in horns with recording bells, which seems to me pretty illogical, especially for school and community band players.

jtm, I regret not buying your 186. I still think that it would be a good fit for the playing I do.

Dan Schultz has an older, fixed bell (non-Miraphone replacement bell) listed that I keep thinking about, too. He is within driving distance.
