Oooooooohhhhh…

I like that black side-loader for a 186. I am distressed that I am partially unemployed right now or it would be mine. This should sell fairly soon, I think.

Good luck, Tom. I sincerely hope your bag business is successful!

BIG BAG BUMP!

Dang... Going to need to measure my Sonora, but it's probably too tall for that sideloader. I think it's 43 inches...

Thanks, but "partially unemployed" means "struggling to make house payments" right now. Sorry, just wishing you well on the sale.

I thought I'd seen a page of color samples on the site, but I guess not...

Would the navy top-loader be a decent fit for a tuba with 16.5" bell and 38.5" height, where the bottom 5/8" is a sharp keel? Or would I be happier with a slightly smaller custom case?

Sorry, I have been meaning to put up a color examples. The best you can do now is look through the different bags on the site. There are several bags that show that Vintage Navy.

As for fit... Well, it will be roomy, for sure. I personally don't mind a bag that is roomy - as long as it works. I carried a tuba in a Götz top-loader that was significantly oversized for a couple years. As long as the horn is "behaving" and not trying to turn sideways, it will protect the horn just fine. (A bag that is too small is a different story.) I know some players who really want a perfect fit. Everyone is different.

Also... I should mention that the top-loaders that you see on the web site now are being discontinued. I am not totally happy with them and they are quite difficult to make. So, we are going to work on the design and re-introduce it in a few months.

Thanks so much, Tom. I have a newish Miraphone top-loading bag that's also slightly too big for the tuba, so I'll keep using that until your new design comes out, when I can get closer to the right size.

I hope you're able to keep the pocket on the protected back of the bag in the new design. That's one of the features I like.

Web site updated! Check the Clearance page. We have discontinued Cordura trumpet and flugelhorns. This is the last flugel bag in Cordura - ever. Might be a collector's item someday!...

Tom, is the new top-loader design what's showing on the web site now? And have you decided on your new color offerings?

John, yes - the "split" top-loader you see on the web site is the new design. Works like a dream. I do have a few bags in stock with old design available.

I am expecting a new order of fabric tomorrow: Forest Green, Dark Brown, Beige, Purple, and Red

I have also added new colors for leather: Sunrise (a bright tan) and Red (a dark red). The red is awesome!

@greenbean, I really like that new design. Do you have all of the sizing for a MW2165?
