Is this a left-handed tuba, or is the picture backwards?

Then we have posed in front of the same display! And yeah, that guy parachuted in right over our heads! The US Army Band of New York City played the pre-game music out on the field at game 2! Afterward, for the game, we sat in the left-field Press bleachers. What a great time!

This was the ticker tape parade they held after the series was finished (and the Mets had won!!!). This appeared in the Times evening edition that night, and I purchased the photo from the photographer about ten yers ago when I stumbled across it in an online gallery of his. The physical photo is poster-sized. (I had to get it scanned professionally.) The full-sized scan can be blown up eough to see the high school class ring on my finger!

A Holton mammoth BBb - I'll have knee problems for 1000 Alex...
Funny you should metion knee issues - my left knee is now permanently screwed up from the weight of various tubas (especially one 6/4 weighing in at 34 lbs) resting on it with a grip pad, over the years.

For anything over a 4/4 horn, a tuba rest (DEG) is mandatory equipment.

With my one and only tuba, 1966 6/4 Holton 345 BBb. Fronting our newly formed Dixieland Band, premier performance last week. Plenty of fun, we'll be doing this again!
