repair work pricing

Post by bloke »

Tubas:
Mostly, we only repair tubas if they are local school tubas, my own tubas, or people bringing us their tubas, and waiting on them to be repaired. We don't do "projects", other than (time allowing) pre-project dent removal.

Euphoniums:
Euphoniums are more easily shipped, and - often - less torn up than tubas, so - regarding euphoniums - we can talk.
I'm not fond of struggling to install (often:) made-for-a-different-model/wrong-geometry wonky/bulky euphonium main triggers.
It takes too long for me to alter and install one to my personal satisfaction, and I consistently end up charging too little.
Hopefully, you can find someone local, if the decision is to continue to play a model that demands the installation of such a device.

It wasn't our idea to behave as our rulers have behaved - as reactions to particular situations and events.
Agreeing or disagreeing with what has been done has nothing to do with anything.
The claim, though, that inflation has only been 8% is nonsense, and most all clear thinkers/reality-based people classify that claim as nonsense.

Our repair prices are now higher.
Some people have been our customers because (as they report...??) we're cheaper than so-and-so.
In our view, that's the wrong reason, but that doesn't concern us.
We do predict that our prices will REMAIN lower than others, even though we never particularly intend them to be.
(The fact is that we don't research anyone's else prices, and have always - simply - charged what we charge.)

As there has never been a time when our services were not in more demand than we've been able to supply, we intend on continuing to do the same amount of work in exchange for approximately the same amount of goods/services in trade as always, whatever the amount of fiat currency represents that to be.
