Wenn "ja", sind diese Hauptschlittenzwinge ziemlich lang (länger als meine, und meine "nur" spielt bis zu A = 441 (ganz hinein - im Sommer).

Aber es ist das Modell 497 in 6/4.
Der Hauptstimmzug ist länger gebaut worden.

Awesome sound.
My favorite detail is the entry into the trio, after those runs from the bass solo.
To me, this is just the right mixture of enveloping, "friendly" roundness spiced with some punchy growl to remind s.o. that there´s some muscle underneath that just doesn´t need to be used right there.
Very even and crystal clear 16th runs matching well with the whole ensemble.
But that´s a matter of course considering this is a professional military band.

I believe most of us really enjoy playing marches – even marches that aren’t particularly remarkable – with a really good ensemble, such as yours… I’m even OK with playing American marches in sharp keys in symphony orchestras, as long as they’re played in the right style and by a good orchestra.

In a different life, I played in a “German“ band with only three other musicians – a guy who could play just about any type of woodwind and brass instrument (extraordinarily well), an accordion player, and a drummer who could sing.
Instead of just polkas and waltzes, we also played quite a few European marches, and even schottisches and other types of traditional European dance music.
Obviously - though we had all the right melodies, chords, bass lines, and harmonies (even though we only worked off of either old wrinkled lead sheets or from memory), there’s no way that we could achieve even 1/20th of the grandeur of a band such as that.
