Shipping to an overseas Army base

Any suggestions on how to get a tuba to an Army base in S. Korea? My UPS store says that UPS and FedEx are not able to ship to Army Post Offices (at least packages of this size). The dimensions are also too big for USPS regulations. I tried the DHL site online and the site would not accept the APO address. The DHL online bot gave me a toll free number for "Global Solutions" that turned out to be a sex chat line. The woman couldn't solve my issue...
Any other options? The buyer is looking into finding an off base address for shipping.

I don’t know if anything I’m going to post below would lead to success, but at this point I might think towards getting it to the soldier’s domestic family, and let the military be concerned with getting this piece of property over to that soldier in Korea.

If I sold a big instrument to a soldier in Korea and was then unable to get it to them in any way at all (including the strategy suggested in the previous paragraph), I would consider a refund and reselling it to someone in the CONUS.

The Soldier should contact his Transportation office and see if they can coordinate a shipment of professional goods that was not part of his/her initial move. The Soldier should require the instrument to be crated, which the mover will do when instructed, regardless if there is a hard case or not. I would also suggest a tuba player or knowledgeable repair tech be on hand to supervise the preparation to ensure the safety of the horn. The Soldier may have to pay some additional costs but there should be no Customs hassles to deal with. I would also insure the instrument through Clarion before the instrument is packed. Take pictures of everything.

Outside of that process, Nippon Express would most likely have a terminal at Incheon but the Soldier would have to secure a vehicle to drive a great distance and ensure that all his documentation and payments are 100% ready. The haul from Pyongtaek (assuming that's the destination) is not like driving in/around Seoul when there were installations and an airport there. I would also highly encourage the use of a KATUSA Soldier to ride along and interpret. That's certainly worth a good meal or two to have that service available.
