Valves look shot, but was going to try to test play it since it's local. Seller messaged me to say he had added a BIN, and it sold immediately. Ah well. Somebody bought a project.

Cool tuba. I have the top action version. Mine is engraved Wurlitzer.

Would this be considered a orchestral grand?

Size-wise it looks like this one at BB, but the tubing and valve layout is different. It seems like pre-WWII Conns follow a lot of different patterns.

One at the Simonetti Museum. This one is supposed to be an Orchestral Grand, but it's a different wrap. Closer to the one that just sold, however.

sure would be easy to shorten to C… Then, the owner could enjoy a really flat G & F-sharp, versus F and E.
