Been a while and have done zero playing, so it’s time to move on with some hobbies… I have a King 1240 that I bought from someone else on here last year or this year - I can’t remember. Anyway, picked it up and it’s sat around collecting dust. Thought I would get back into playing, but it just hasn’t happened.
On to the tuba!
It’s a “well-loved” King 1240 from sometime in the last century, like the 60s-90s. Recording bell included PLUS a silver 19” York bell! That’s right, I bought it with the idea to convert to an upright bell, but never got around to it. The body has its fair share of dents, but it was cheap and played well.
Here are some videos:

Is that York bell just inserted into the bell stack or is it cut to fit in the tenon?

Just inserted, I was going to use the tenon off of the recording bell.

I think there was a King tenon up on eBay recently. Not sure if it's still up or if you want to spend the money, but it would give the buyer two working bells.
