Our principal trumpet lady is a doesn't-miss player...The young man playing second is as well, and is headed off to IU, next fall.
Our second trumpet just got accepted to IU as well.

I bought my first tuba last monday, and was offered my first gig in the last decade on tuesday, which i took as a sign from the heavens
The gig itself went fine. All the other players were band directors I work with, which is great for my actual job. Easy money, and all of us confirmed we would be back for christmas.

One of my high school classmates, a trumpet player, ended up being a trumpet prof at IU. I figure he's retired by now, but you never know. Ed Cord.
