I've got my helicon on a large hook I got from Menards in their "garage storage" section. I don't know if THIS is the exact one, but you get the idea. I just made sure to attach it to a stud.

How big a helium balloon would it take to make a sousaphone neutrally boyant?
What about hot air or hydrogen if that's more cost effective?
(helium is apparently a non-renewable resource according to a friend of mine)

On a very sensitive scale, if a human releases gas while on such a scale, their indicated weight will actually rise, as they will become less buoyant...
...just some additional helpful info...
